Where to Dine in New York City

If there's one thing New York City is known for, it's dining out. You can enjoy everything from a hot dog from a street vendor, to some of the country's best pizza, to upscale fine dining, all within a few blocks of each other. Some of the best places to Essen in New York (USA) are some of the best know restaurants in the world, but don't overlook those small local joints that often offer some of the best food you'll find anywhere. Of course, no visit to New York is complete without a legendary New York bagel, and you'll find some of the best at Murray's Bagels, located at 500 Sixth Avenue in Greenwich Village. Murray's makes all its bagels fresh daily, and the café is cozy and charming, offering breakfast and lunch dishes along with their famous bagels. Prices are reasonable, too. For more cheap eats, try Stage Restaurant, located at 128 Second Avenue, where they serve breakfast all day, along with lunch, sandwiches, and Eastern European specialties. For cheap Chinese, try Joe's Shanghai, located at 9 Pell Street in Chinatown. Diners can share family-style dishes, and only dish out about $10 per person for a great dinner. Of course, some of the world's greatest chefs call New York home, so if you want to dine out in one of their restaurants, you won't have a problem, except maybe getting reservations! Try Babbo, at 110 Waverly Place, if you're a fan of chef Mario Batali, because Babbo was his first restaurant in New York, and it offers some of the best Italian food in the city according to many critics. Gordon Ramsay at The London, located at 151 West 54th Street, only offers 12 tables, so it's difficult to get reservations, but critics say the food is more than worth the effort.
