Broadway Shows in New York City

It's hard to think about New York City and not think about seeing a Broadway show or two and staying at the Hotel am Broadway und am Time Square in New York. Broadway shows captivate millions of people every year, but don't overlook other show venues in New York, where the prices are cheaper and you may encounter an up-and-coming actor you'll remember in the future. Some of the better off-Broadway venues include the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, located at 70 Lincoln Center Plaza, which offers productions of lesser known playwrights along with the beautiful Lincoln Center location, or the Lucille Lortel Theatre, located at 121 Christopher Street, which offers a free play series during the summer that's geared especially toward kids. Other venues include the Westside Theatre at 407 West 43rd Street, or the Bleecker Street Theatre at 45 Bleeker Street. The big Broadway theaters all showcase the big, blockbuster Broadway shows, like Mary Poppins (at the New Amsterdam Theatre, 214 West 42nd Street), The Lion King, (at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street), or Shrek the Musical, (at the Broadway Theatre, 1681 Broadway). Of course, all the shows on Broadway aren't musicals and not Online Games, you can find dramas, comedies, and even showed geared for the whole family in the Broadway lineup. If ticket prices are a concern, then consider Anyone Rush tickets. Most Broadway theaters offer some rush tickets when they open up first thing in the morning, or at a specific time during the day. Check with your particular show theater to find about rush tickets, because they go anywhere from $20 to $25 a ticket, a considerable savings over regular ticket prices. Some online ticket sellers offer discount tickets, too, so it pays to shop around if you plan to attend several Broadway shows, it can save you quite a bit of money in the end.
